Board of Directors
Hope Gatekeepers is seeking its new founding Board of Directors. Our goal is to collaborate with individuals who want to make a difference in the Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties. If you're passionate about bringing positive change to the next generation please take the time to let us know you're interested.
Why Now?
We are formalizing our governance with a one-year- Founding/Transitional Board.
At the end of this year, we will hold a formal election to seat our long-term Governing Board with 3-4 year terms. Founding members are eligible for nomination and election. Once officially selected members of the Board of Directors are eligible to serve two terms.
Founding Board composition (core roles):
Two (2) Board Co-Chairs – modeling co-leadership, balance, and shared power.
Secretary – corporate records, minutes, and compliance.
Treasurer – fiscal oversight, budgeting, and reporting.
Three (3) Faith-Based Directors – (Faith Steward; Community Pastor/Ministerial Representative; Prayer & Discipleship Leader) providing spiritual guidance and accountability.
Expectations (high level):
Quarterly board meetings (with occasional special sessions).
Governance and fiscal oversight; policy and strategy review.
Participate in at least one committee (Finance, Governance, Faith Advisory, Development).
Support fundraising through a personally meaningful annual contribution and/or donor outreach (“give/get”).
Serve as an ambassador within your church, professional, and community networks.
Term Pathway:
Year 1: Founding Board (transitional) – one (1) year.
After Year 1: Formal election to the Governing Board 3-4 year terms.
